Kirsten Brooke : Interview

How would you describe yourself in a few words?

Crazy, Loving, and Passionate

How long have you been a model?

A little over a year

How did you get into modelling?

I had always loved being in front of the camera and taking pictures with my friends but it wasn’t until a professional photographer told me I should be a model did I start taking it seriously, then right when I finished high school I jumped into it full time!

How was your first shooting? Tell us a bit about that first experience.

I’ve been a performer from literally day one so I was just excited to be back in front of the camera. It’s just another way to express myself and have fun.

What does modeling mean to you?

Modeling to me is a way to live out my dreams and travel the world while doing what I love 24/7. I still feel like I am dreaming. I’m so lucky

A model you particularly admire?

Cara Delevingne for embracing her weirdness cause I’m so weird too haha, and Candice Swanepoel for embracing the power and sexiness of a woman. Also Candice is extremely professional and I love that.

If you could choose, where would you like to shoot?

I love mixing it up because it keeps me on my toes but I feel most at home on the beach or in a tropical setting

What is your dressing style in everyday life?

Casual, I’m Kind of a Tomboy. It also changes with my mood for sure

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

California or anywhere tropical

What is happiness?

Doing what you love and being yourself 100% of the time.

Are you team Kanye west  or team Taylor swift ?

Taylor Swift

Where can we find you on a Friday night?

In a coffee shop sending emails, orsomething modeling related. I’m a workaholic haha but if I’m wanting to chill out probably the beach or walking around the city hitting some good shops and farmers markets

Favorite Netflix show

90210 cause I am in love with California

What’s your next goal?

To travel all over the world

How do you feel about temporary art ?

The fact that art is constantly changing is to me a lovely thing. I think being stuck in a trend for too long is a bad thing you just get a bunch of copycats that way. The modeling world alone has changed tremendously in the past 5 years and I think a lot of times changes are what keeps things healthy and fresh. So to me temporary art isn’t a bad thing since change is a healthy and natural thing.
